Pat Regan from Southport Lancashire snapped away with his camera on Sunday night (6 July 2008) during freak weather conditions taking photographs of a funnel cloud, many of which appeared that night in the Lancashire and Merseyside areas.
On closer inspection Mr Regan has noticed an unidentified flying object just to the left of the funnel cloud.
Many people were astonished by the weekends strange weather and reported the funnel clouds to the press. Paul Bolton from Southport took this photo from his flat.
