Wing Commander Alan TurnerAn ex-RAF Wing Commander who was a chief operator of the RAF’s radar system for 29 years has revealed how he and up to 30 colleagues tracked a fleet of high speed UFOs as they raced across the skies.

Wing Commander Alan Turner spoke of an incident which dates back to 1971, he says that 35 super-fast craft appeared on radar in perfect formation and traveled silently at impossible speeds across part of southern England. The unidentified craft were able to climb from 3,000ft to 60,000ft at speeds of up to 300mph.

“I instantly knew this wasn’t a convoy of military planes.” he said.

“The only craft with that rate of climb were supersonic lightning aircraft but they wouldn’t have been able to hold such a perfect formation.

“They also make a lot of noise.

“No one heard a thing on the night in question.”

Wing Commander Turner, who is an MBE, was ordered by Ministry of Defence top brass never to speak of what he had seen that night. He will be guest speaker at the Close Encounters conference in Pontefract, West Yorks, next month.

Mr Mitchell caught the craft by chance, and didn’t realise he’d captured an image of a UFO until he and wife Elaine later viewed the images on his digital camera.

Elaine Mitchell had this to say:

“We just noticed it when we came to look at the picture but we have no idea what it was. Maybe someone else can tell us what it might have been.”

A further report of strange lights in the sky has been made, this time in Worcester just a few miles north of the UFO sighting in Weston-super-Mare.

Worcester News reader Andy Ball took this photograph of strange glowing balls in the sky above his home in the early hours of Monday morning (30 June 2008).

Worcester UFOs

“I thought at first that they were spotlights; the sort you get at fairs, but there was no cloud at all, not even a haze present to reflect the light, therefore they must have been lights coming from the sky,” said Andy.

“I’m very interested as to what this was,” said Mr Ball, “partly because I can discount most, if not all of the obvious. What with all the sightings of lights lately it does make me wonder.”

A Royal Navy aircraft engineer came forward yesterday to report seeing a spinning unidentified craft above the M5 motorway in Somerset.

Michael Madden reports witnessing a flying saucer spinning above the motorway a few hundred metres in the sky, it hovered for a few minutes then disappeared at a tremendous speed.

Madden, from Manchester, was heading to the Royal Naval Air Station at Yeovilton where he works as an aircraft engineer for the Royal Navy. He was driving along a section of the M5 motorway close to junction 21 near Weston-super-Mare at around 9:45pm when he and colleague Michael Casson spotted the strange object.

Mr Madden gave this extraordinary account of his sighting:

“I work with aircraft and grew up next to Manchester Airport so I know exactly what a plane looks and sounds like. This was definitely not a plane.”

“It was a circular disc which was glowing bright, hovering hundreds of metres up. Other people must have spotted it.”

“It was unlike anything I’ve ever seen in my life. It really did look like alien aircraft in the films.”

“It had an antenna fixed to the back.”

Remarkable.

An unnamed woman from the Selden area of Worthing has come forward to report seeing a mysterious flying object near her home on Monday night last week (23 June 2008).

The woman said she was standing in her garden around 5pm when she witnessed what she describes as “something really very strange”.

“I was chatting to a friend on my mobile phone and just casually watching the birds and the planes up above when I spotted something really very strange, much higher up than any planes. It was a clear bright orb, orange in colour.” She reports.

“I watched it for a few minutes, trying to work out what on earth it was. It was very odd, and moving in a very unusual manner. At first, I could hardly believe what I was seeing, and thought I must be seeing things or going crazy.

“So I called a nearby neighbour to come over and look, and he and I both watched this thing for at least five minutes. He said he’d ‘never seen anything like it’.. and the odd expletive.”

“We were both transfixed. I suggested we report it, but he said ‘people will just think we’re crazy’, even though we’d both seen it clearly.

“We both tried to come up with every possible rational explanation to explain it, but neither of us could find one to explain this object.”

The sighting is very similar to reports of a similar glowing orb seen over Hastings the same evening.

Stan Romanek announced to the world this week that he has video proof that alien life has visited this planet.

Romanek shot the video back in 2003, he set up the camera to catch what he thought was a peeping tom that was spying on his daughters, but instead believes he’s made history by getting the first video of alien visitors from outer space.

It has taken five years for the video to be finally released to the media, while UFO and film experts studied the tape to see if it was a hoax.

A Denver film expert who checked the video has confirmed that the film has not been tampered with in any way, and the footage show’s either a real alien or a very expensive and elaborate puppet.

Alejandro Rojas of the Mutual UFO Network explained that in the past video has been released without proper analysis, but was hesitant to assert his belief the video showed a genuine extra-terrestrial.

Here is the shocking footage that Romanek caught:

And here it is enhanced to show the visitor more clearly:
