Furries are aficionados of anthropomorphism, particularly dressing up as animals with human atributes. This weekend a record breaking number of furries gathered in Pittsburgh to set a world record for the largest gathering of people dressed in fur animal suits.
In total 1,162 people dressed up as cartoon animals congregated at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh as part of the eighth annual Anthrocon furry convention. The record is as yet unofficial, but event organisers expect Guinness World of Records to confirm the record once they receive all the relevant evidence.
