Finally after years of waiting the highly anticipated sequel to 2005′s Sin City has started pre-production.
Director Robert Rodriguez confirmed this weekend that the sequel, entitled A Dame to Kill For has gone into pre-production and casting will commence as soon as next week. Here’s the director’s official statement:
I have wanted to re-team with Frank Miller and return to the world he created since the day we wrapped the original, but have felt a duty to the fans to wait until we had something truly exceptional that would meet and exceed what have become epic expectations.
That sounds like a load of cobblers, but at least the sequel is finally going ahead.
A Dame to Kill For was Frank Miller’s second Sin City series of comics, first published in 1993. The story features both Clive Owen and Micky Rourke’s characters from the first Sin City movie.
