Johnny Depp and Marilyn Manson

Weirdo goth-rocker Marilyn Manson has recorded a cover version of Carly Simon’s You’re So Vain with Hollywood actor Johnny Depp.

Johnny Depp is an accomplished musician, he’s already performed with Sheffield indie band Baby Bird and also played in an all-star charity line-up organised by Shane MacGowan to cover Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ I Put A Spell On You.

The new track, originally written and sung by Carly Simon in 1972, features Depp playing drums and lead guitar whilst Manson played guitar and performs the vocals. The song will be a bonus track on Manson’s highly anticipated new album — Born Villain — which will be released in May.

Born Villain will be Manson’s first release since 2009′s rather biz The High End of Low.
