Blood-sucking vampire-witch stalking hospital

Nurses at a Zimbabwean hospital are refusing to work the night-shift after a vampiric witch was spotted drinking the blood of one of the patients.

An unnamed nurse has been admitted to the hospital herself after collapsing from shock from witnessing the vampire-witch sucking blood from a patient’s arm. The nurse was doing her rounds at the Gweru Provincial Hospital at approximately 03:00 on Wednesday morning when she witnessed the horrific scene.

“When she came across the witch, the drip had been removed from the patient. The witch was apparently busy sucking blood from the patient and the on-duty nurse immediately raised an alarm upon witnessing the shocking incident. She (the nurse) suddenly collapsed and fainted,” an anonymous hospital official told local Zimbabwe press.

“She is still weak and is being attended to by a doctor. However, she is now able to narrate what really transpired on the fateful day.”

Since the incident the hospital staff are reported to be gripped in fear, and refusing to work night duty. But hospital superintendent Dr Fabian Mashingaidze says the story is poppycock nonsense.

“Let me assure the general public that there is no incident of that sort which happened at Gweru Provincial Hospital. It’s a fabrication from some people who are fantasising,” the good doctor said.
