Following months of negotiations between film studios and the British Board of Film Classification The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence) has been given an 18 certificate and granted a UK release.
However, in order to win the certification Bounty Films were required to make 32 separate cuts to the film, removing a full two minutes and 37 seconds of gratuitous violent sex and gore. According to the BBFC these cuts now address all concerns which were raised back in June when they refused to classify the movie.
The BBFC were particularly upset by a couple of scenes which they said were not only too violent, but probably illegal under the Obscene Publications Acts. The deleted scenes include the rape of a woman by a man with barbed wire wrapped around his penis, another scene showed presumably the same pervert masturbating furiously using sandpaper. This is not acceptable in today’s Britain. Other than the violent sexual scenes, British viewers will also be robbed of seeing a new born baby being killed, graphic close up of a bloke having his teeth knocked out with a hammer, and more depressingly forced defecation into victim’s mouths. We’ll be getting none of it.
However, to celebrate the fact the film has been released at all, we’re giving away three copies of the first Human Centipede movie on DVD.
We’ve got three copies of The Human Centipede (First Sequence) [Director's Cut] on digital versatile disc, we just need you to answer this one silly question: Who directed both Human Centipede movies?
Just pop your details, and your answer, in the form below and three random correct entries will be chosen once the competition closes at midnight on 6th November 2011. Good luck gore fans.
