The world’s biggest torch

German company Zweibrüder Optoelectronics have proudly unveiled the world’s largest torch at the The Lichternacht (Festival of Lights) in Solingen, Germany.

The torch, or flashlight for any Johnny Foreigners, is a remarkable 4m long and uses energy efficient LED lamps meaning that despite its huge size the torch only consumes the same amount of power as an electric kettle. The life expectancy of the LED is an amazing eleven years, pity the batteries won’t last as long.

Guinness World of Records were at hand to verify the torch as being the world’s biggest, check it out below:
