Clearly not the safest of safety pins.
An unnamed 32-year-old man from Tamale, Ghana, has undergone surgery to remove a 12cm pin from his penis after he used it to masturbate with.
Doctors at Tamale Teaching Hospital successfully removed the pin yesterday, using a procedure called ‘open ureterolithotomy’, where the penis gland is literally sliced open so any blockages in the urethra can be removed.
The patient had been admitted to the hospital complaining of a pin in his penis, he initially told doctors the pin was attached to his bed sheets and got stuck down his Jap’s eye accidentally. He later admitted that he had been bizarrely pleasuring himself with the pin, and it became stuck. Efforts to remove the pin pushed it further along the urinary canal until surgery was the only option.
The masturbator has been diagnosed with a psychiatric illness.
