Former Sunnydale hottie Charisma Carpenter announced on Twitter earlier today that she will be appearing in a forthcoming episode of Supernatural.
The 41-year-old actress revealed that she had some bad news and some good news. She immediately revealed that the bad news referred to her not being picked up to appear in The Expendables 2. Although Charisma was originally tipped to be reprising her role from The Expendables, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer star said today that her character was not in the script.
Regarding the good news, Charisma teased fans by saying she was going to be starring in a show that “involves special talents”, and asked her followers to guess which show she meant. Eventually she confirmed that she would be appearing in Supernatural after two of her followers guessed correctly.
TVLine have revealed that Charisma’s appearance in Supernatural will be a fantastic Buffy the Vampire Slayer reunion, because she will be joined by none other than James Marsters, who played vampire Spike.
Not only will the pair be reunited on screen for the first time since they worked together on Buffy spin-off Angel, they will be playing a married couple.
Matt Webb Mitovich wrote that Marsters will be playing a successful man married to a witch (Carpenter). But after he falls out with his wife all hell breaks lose. The episode is entitled Shut Up, Dr. Phil, and filming begins on 22nd August in Vancouver. It will be the fifth episode in the forthcoming new season of Supernatural, which begins in the US on Friday 23rd September.
