Amy and Rory leaving Doctor Who?

Ginger Doctor Who actress Karen Gillan recently reassured worried fans that she would be returning for the seventh series of the show, but some people are now saying she’s a bloody fibber.

Just a couple of weeks ago the russet Scot told Zap2it that she would be back for the next full series, but a BBC insider now claims that both Karen, and co-star Arthur Darvill, will be departing the show at the end of the current season.

According to the unidentified source, the newly-wed characters will be “rested”, which means they will be leaving the show as regular cast members but may still make guest appearances.

The rumour is that the pair will be reunited with their missing daughter, retire from Tardis life, and go back to earth to raise their family.

This seems reasonably feasible, but the rumours are unconfirmed and Doctor Who is always a target for nonsensical rumours started for fun.
