A Serbian man has become a human magnet after doctors zapped him with electricity to restart his heart.
66-year-old Sibin Ivanovic was undergoing surgery on his stomach when due to complications his heart stopped beating. Doctors used a defibrillator to send an electric charge through Sibin and restart his heart.
Doctors say that Sibin will make a full recovery from his surgery, and heart attack, but the side effect appears to be the attraction of metal objects.
Sibin says that following the operation, and subsequent electrocution, metal objects now stick to him. He says he first became aware of it when he left his mobile phone on his chest and got up to move around, the mobile remained stuck to his chest.
After a bit of research Sibin discovered that other metal objects such as cutlery and metal plates will also ‘magnetically’ stick to his skin. Doctors at the hospital in Serbia have examined Sibin and confirmed that he has developed a ‘mild attraction ability’.
“I act like a magnet ever since I was given the electric shock.” Sibin said.
“The doctors are at a loss to explain it. I’m hoping to have the same attractive effect on women, but probably only if they wear lots of jewellery.” The magnetic eldster said.
