Baby bitten to death by rats

An infant girl was killed this weekend when she was mauled by ravenous rodents whilst her mother partied with friends.

The teenage mother of the child, who is still at high school, has not been named. The young mother left her baby unattended all night on Sunday in their shack in Soweto, South Africa whilst she was out partying with friends.

Neighbours reported hearing the baby crying out in pain during the night, but it wasn’t until the mother returned on Monday morning that the child was discovered drenched in blood and covered with rodent bites. Police were called to the scene and the mother was arrested on charges of culpable homicide and negligence. She was later released on bail.
