An Essex woman has set a brand new world record for driving fairground dodgems.
28-year-old Laura Byng from Sarf-end wasted an entire 25 hours driving aimlessly in circles at the Adventure Island amusement park to set a brand new world record. the previous record of just 24 hours was set in Austria by Sebastian Bosch in 2007. Miss Byng’s record breaking feat wasn’t just for the glory though, she also managed to raise some monies for the Havens Hospices charity, which you can donate to here: Havens Hospices – Donate Now.
Miss Byng kept the bumping of her bumper car to a minimum and maintained a steady routine for the majority of her 25 hour stint. In case you were wondering, Miss Byng was allowed a five minute break every hour in case she needed to wee or poo.
