World record for the most fake beards

There’s nothing better than a good world record, and when we say ‘good’ we mean daft.

Organisers of the Bearded Theory music festival have beaten their own world record this year, by assembling approximately 2,500 people wearing fake beards.

Fake beards are something of a theme at the Derbyshire based festival, last year they began their record breaking habit with 1,800 revellers wearing homemade wooly beards. As the festival is one of the UK’s fastest growing it stands to reason that they would smash that record this year, and we’re looking forward to an even bigger number next year!

Playing at this year’s festival were Athlete, The Waterboys and some weirdo off of X-Factor called Wagner.
