Pat Bertoletti sets new world record at catfish eating contest

Pat Bertoletti once again showed why he’s one of the highest ranked competitive eaters in the world by setting a new world record in catfish guzzling today.
Bertoletti chomped his way to victory at the second annual Rhythm City World Catfish Eating Championship held in Davenport, Iowa. Last year Sonya ‘The Black Widow’ Thomas set the bar, winning the heat by gobbling 6.75 lbs of deep fried catfish in ten minutes. Today Bertoletti smashed that record and set a new one with 7.5 lbs of catfish down his throat.
World number 12 Sean Gordon took second place with 6.16 lbs, and third position went to world #9 gurgitator Tim Brown.
