Good gravy, it’s actually going to happen, and only two years late!
Before you get too excited I better just add that the legendary Tom Baker will be reprising his most famous role, but only in audio. Big Finish Productions have been making Doctor Who audio plays since 1999, they have already released hundreds of episodes featuring past Doctors, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy and even Paul McGann for some reason, have all been asked to reprise their roles and step back inside the Tardis, and now it’s time for Tom Baker to swallow his pride and put that long scarf on again.
As well as previous Doctors coming back to star in these brand new stories, they are also joined by their old companions. And Tom Baker will be no exception, Louise Jameson (Leela) and Mary Tamm (Romana I) are both on board when the new plays are released sometime in 2012.
