Michelle Ryan to star in new British zom-com

Bionic Woman and former Eastender Michelle Ryan has won the lead in a brand new zombie movie.

Ryan will star opposite Harry Treadaway in zombie rom-com Cockneys vs. Zombies. Treadway is possibly best known for playing Joy Division drummer Stephen Morris in the biopic Control. The pair will play bank robbers who get caught up in a zombie plague.

A script has been written by Severance and Torchwood writer James Moran and Matthias Hoene (Beyond the Rave) is directing.

Rounding off the cast will be Honor Blackman and Alan Ford, who played that rotter Brick Top in Snatch.

Filming begins anytime now.
