Supatra Sasuphan11-year-old Supatra Sasuphan was today officially recognised by Guinness World of Records as the world’s hairiest girl.

Supatra suffers from the congenital defect hypertrichosis, also known as werewolf syndrome. The condition means Supatra’s face is covered in a lovely, fluffy fur.

The young girl was initially teased by her peers at home in Bangkok, Thailand, she was often called names such as ‘wolf child’, ‘monkey face’ and ‘fuzzy chops’. But eventually the community began to accept Supatra and her new official title from Guinness has made her very popular.

Despite things going so well for little fuzzy chops, Supatra does hope one day to be cured. Doctors have been powerless to stop the rapid hair growth, even laser treatment proved less than useless.
