Smallville star recruited for Warehouse 13

Young Jimmy Olsen actor Aaron Ashmore has been recruited as a regular cast member in Warehouse 13 when it returns for a third season.

Entertainment Weekly are reporting that Ashmore will play a new Warehouse agent named Steve Jinks who teams up with Eddie McClintock’s character Pete.

Fans of the show will remember that at the end of season two Pete’s previous partner Myka Bering(played by the lovely Joanne Kelly) quit after she felt responsible for the show’s end of level boss, HG Wells (played by the lovely Jamie Murray) betraying the team and putting them in danger.

The casting of Ashmore as Pete’s new partner may suggest that Joanne Kelly has left the show permanently, but if that were true Syfy might as well just scrap the show now. Last year it was the networks biggest hit, and I doubt it was just McClintock’s ugly mug which drew the viewers in.

Season three of Warehouse 13 is due to begin in the summer.
