Is the end in sight for The Cape?

NBC’s costumed hero show The Cape looks like it’s about to be canned.

The superhero show has been suffering in the ratings since it began airing in the US, figures have dropped steadily each week and now NBC have decided to cut the story short. Production is just wrapping up on the tenth episode and it looks like that will be the last. Although originally expected to be a 13 show series NBC have reduced the order to just ten episodes and it seems likely that this means the show will not be returning for a second season.
