Two-headed calf sacrificed

A cow in eastern Colombia gave birth to a two-headed calf this week, but the tale ended in tragedy.
Ramon Torres explained to local reporters that he was delivering the calf legs first and everything seemed normal, until the “head” became jammed. A vet was called and the mother died during the birth because she was sliced open to get the new calf out. If that wasn’t bad enough the little two-headed critter was later “sacrificed” thanks to the superstitious belief that in doing so Mr Torres would avoid a similar misfortune.
