Dead woman comes back to life

An 88-year-old woman from Brazil was almost buried alive this week when undertakers noticed the supposedly deceased old-timer was still breathing.

Maria das Dores from Ipatinga in southern Brazil was taken to hospital last week suffering from blocked arteries, the old dear also suffered from Alzheimer’s and was bedridden. Doctors at the local hospital declared Maria dead on 22nd December (Noel Edmonds’ birthday) and sent her body to the mortuary.

Fortunately for Maria the morticians noticed she hadn’t yet shuffled off this mortal coil and rushed back to the hospital.

An investigation is currently being carried out to see how the mistakes were made.
