Eliza Dushku returning to TV at last

Dollhouse star Eliza Dushku has finally landed a new TV role, this time in a cop show. Dushku has landed the female lead in a new police drama entitled Bird Dog.

The show is centred on a pair of cops who are father and daughter. Dushku plays Gail McGrath, a smalltown cop who followed her fathers footsteps into law enforcement despite having a strained relationship with him. Mr McGrath leaves the NYC police and turns up on his daughter’s doorstep in the small Pacific Northwestern town where she works and becomes her new partner.

The show is being written and directed by Mike Robe for TNT. Although it’s only currently at the pilot stage Bird Dog looks like a welcome return to the small screen for our favourite ever Slayer.
