RooMeet ‘Roo’, the two-legged four-month-old chihuahua who is looking for a new home.

The poor little pooch was born with his two front legs missing, a birth defect which earned him his new name Roo, short for kangaroo.

Roo was handed in at the Western Riverside County Animal Shelter in California this week, vets have examined the little fella and say he’s perfectly healthy despite his obvious disability.

“He’s very well tempered, he’s super-friendly and wants you to hold him all the time” explains veterinary technician Kacy Hodges.

“He’s really healthy, good to go”
