Man’s genitals attacked by flesh-eating ants

A sick man in a Florida hospital has suffered hundreds of bites as an army of ants tried to eat his testicles.

76-year-old Cornelius Lewis was bitten on the ballbag by hundreds of ants as he lay in an intensive care hospital bed at the Gulf Coast Medical Center in Florida.

Mr Lewis was recovering from surgery to have a pacemaker fitted, as he lay in intensive care he was supposed to be monitored every ten minutes. Nurses however failed to inspect Mr Lewis’ gonad-sack at regular intervals and the exhausted patient had his nuts chomped on for hours before a nurse finally inspected the old man’s member.

Mr Lewis was eventually moved to another room, but ants were discovered in that room too and he had to be moved again.

Karen Krieger, director of public relations at Gulf Coast Medical Center has confirmed that the ants were simply pavement ants and all measures were being taken to eradicate the ants invasion from the hospital.
