A murder investigation is underway following an incident at King’s Cross tube station in London last night.
A 50-year-old man in women’s clothing was pushed under an approaching train by his female companion as they larked around on the platform. Witnesses, who initially thought the couple were both women, described how the pair were stood very close to the edge of the platform last night as they waited for a tube at around 18:30.
“They were standing very close to the edge of the platform and it was jam-packed because it was the height of rush-hour” a station worker said.
The witness described how the pair appeared to know each other and they seemed to be joking around pushing and pulling each other. But as the train pulled into the station the woman shoved the transvestite under the wheels of the moving train.
A quick thinking witness apprehended the woman and detained her until police arrived. Police arrested the 34-year-old woman on suspicion of murder, they are studying CCTV footage and questioning witnesses to build a clearer picture of exactly what took place.
