StrongholdAmber Entertainment are teaming up with 2000ad and Rebellion to produce a medieval zombie movie based on the book Stronghold.

Tomes of The Dead: Stronghold
was written by Paul Finch and tells the story of Welsh wizards using magic to create zombies to fight off English invaders in the year 1295. Knights in armour go up against an army of the undead in a terrific quest.

Video game developer Jason Kingsley is on board to make his directorial debut, the novel has been adapted into a screenplay written by Tom Fickling.

Stronghold will begin development in the new year.
