When news first broke of a Crow remake people were understandably a little excited. Hopes took a bit of a dip when it emerged that Stephen Norrington who worked on the God awful League of Extraordinary Gentlemen had been draughted in to write and direct, but perked up again when Nick Cave was asked to rewrite the screenplay.

Now things have taken another turn for the worse with the news that ex-rapper and prosthetic penis wearer Mark Wahlberg has been offered the role of Eric Draven.

Bloody Disgusting broke the news this week but they were clear at pointing out that at this stage Wahlberg has only been offered the part and he hasn’t yet accepted.

There is still a chance he will say no.
