Khagendra Thapa Magar with Miss Nepal
Tiny Magar has been trying to get in the Guinness Book of World Records for years now, he first submitted his measurements to Guinness five years ago but due to his age he wasn’t accepted. Last year when Magar turned 18-years-old it was believed Guinness would confirm his title as world’s shortest man but they knocked the little chap back saying they were unable to verify his age.
Magar turned 19-years-old yesterday (14th October) which put an end to any doubts that Guinness had. Marco Frigtee, the Vice Chairman of Guinness World of Records yesterday presented Magar with a certificate and officially announced that he had won the prestigious title of world’s shortest man.
That’s bad news for Edward Nino Hernandez, the 24-year-old Colombian was named as the world’s shortest man just last month. Magar is a full 2.92cm shorter than Hernandez, Guinness officials recorded Magar’s height at 67.08cm.
Magar says his hobbies include playing with pebbles and worshiping Buddha, and as you can see by the photo he’s also a bit of a lady killer.
