Syfy’s supernatural drama series Haven, loosely based on Stephen King story The Colorado Kid has won a second season.

Haven has just begun broadcasting in the UK this week and is about to wrap up it’s first season in the US next week. The show stars Emily Rose as an FBI agent who relocates to the town of Haven as part of an investigation and discovers that supernatural activity is common in the area.

Despite a few dodgy CGI effects and some silly story lines the show has a good cast of characters and has a lot of potential. It was clearly well received in America as Syfy have officially announced that the show will return for a second season in summer/autumn 2011.

Catch Haven season one on Syfy on Thursday nights at 22:00.
