Wood chipper

A gardener has been decapitated in a freak accident involving a wood chipping machine.

44-year-old Miguel Vargas from Florida was throwing cut branches into a wood chipper when a rope tied around one of the branches got wrapped around his neck.

As the gardener struggled to free himself from the rope, and avoid being pulled into the machinery where he would be chopped to millions of pieces, the rope simply tightened like a noose around his neck until it eventually ripped his head right off his shoulders.

Eventually one of the other workmen in Vargas’ team heard a piece of metal grinding in the wood chipper and came to investigate. After hitting the machine’s emergency stop button Dwayne Wilson walked around the machine to find Vargas’ headless corpse on the ground.
