Chinese woman has body like a melted alien

A woman from China is seeking medical help for a rare condition which has left her looking like a melted alien.

43-year-old Tan I first began developing tumours when she was just 20 but didn’t bother getting anything done about the condition. Now the disease has ravaged her body, her flesh has lost its elasticity and hangs in huge flaps.

Doctors in China have diagnosed the condition as neurofibromatosis, a rare mutation which causes benign tumours to grow practically anywhere on the body. It is unknown whether medics will be able to help Tan, and she fears she may never be able to live a normal life.
