Joey Chestnut wins bratwurst eating contest

The Major League Eating sanctioned event was sponsored by Pepto-Bismol and featured in the Oktoberfest celebrations in Cincinnati.
Chestnut took a large lead in the contest and finished the ten minute event with 42 bratwursts consumed. Second place went to world’s #9 competitive eater Tim Brown who managed to swallow 31.75 of the German sausages. Third place went to Juliet Lee, the world’s number two female gurgitator who gobbled 23.5 sausages.
First prize in the contest was $1,250 and the prestigious title of Bratwurst Eating World Champion.
