7ft snake found in Hampshire

A 7ft long Grey Rat Snake has been found abandoned in a Hampshire car park.
The adult snake was spotted by a member of the public who immediately called the authorities. Police are trying to trace the owner to determine whether the reptile was simply an unwanted pet or if it was dumped by thieves following a burglary.
The location where the snake was discovered is a at a New Forest beauty spot many miles from any residential areas, so the chance of the non-venomous serpent simply escaping from it’s vivarium are highly unlikely.
