Joey ‘Jaws’ Chestnut gave another impressive performance at yesterday’s World Burrito Eating Championship held at New Mexico’s State Fair.

The world’s number one gurgitator took first place and set a brand new record for speed eating burritos. Joey Chestnut gobbled up an extraordinary 47 burritos in just ten minutes, smashing the previous record of 33.5 burritos which was set last year by Chestnuts biggest rival Bob Shoudt.

Each burrito weighs 4oz and is filled with beef, beans and green chili. That’s 11.75lbs of burrito in ten minutes that Chestnut managed to consume.

The Major League Eating sanctioned event had a first place prize of $1,500.
