Pregnant woman attacked by pack of rats in the street

A pregnant woman was bitten by a rat whilst pushing her two-year-old daughter down the street in her pushchair.

37-year-old Anne Kotecha says she spotted a pack of at least six of the vermin rodents swarming round her as she pushed her daughter along the street in Walthamstow, east London. Ms Kotecha then felt one of the filthy rats bite her foot before scurrying away.

“I felt a bite on my foot. I looked down and saw a rat running off.” Ms Kotecha told the Daily Star.

Ms Kotecha was treated for her injuries and given antibiotics. Rats are known to carry a variety of nasty diseases including the bubonic plague and Weil’s Disease.
