You only live twice

A baby girl in Mexico who was pronounced dead by a doctor was discovered to be alive lying in her coffin during her own funeral. However the child has since died for a second time.

The baby was born prematurely last Monday (2nd August) and a doctor attending the birth pronounced her dead at the scene. The baby’s parents decided to have a funeral for the deceased baby, during which strange noises began emanating from the child’s casket.

Upon investigating the infant was found to be alive and the noise was the child crying. The baby was taken straight to hospital where it was reported to be in a stable condition. Sadly, Hidalgo state attorney general Jose Rodriguez reported at the weekend that the little girl had died from asphyxia on Thursday, three days after first being declared dead.

The doctor who made the first death certificate is currently under investigation regarding the matter.
