South American Bigfoot shot and killed

Cowboys in northern Argentina claim to have shot and killed a bizarre fanged bi-pedal creature which they believe is the legendary Ucumar, or South American Bigfoot.
Argentinian newspaper El Tribuno reported the story of two ranchers who were startled by a loud noise as they tried to herd their cattle in the dead of night. The two men shone their torches in the direction of the noises and simply saw two large green eyes reflecting in the torchlight.
The men revealed that they thought the figure making the sounds might have been a puma, or slightly more alarmingly, a goblin. They fired a single shot at the glowing eyes and managed to fire the bullet straight through the skull of the mystery creature. The men’s dogs ran over to the carcass of the beast and the ranchers made the grim discovery of a humanoid creature with large protruding fangs and bulging eyes.
The remains were taken back to the ranch for further analysis the next day. The creature was less than a metre tall and covered in short black fur, the head was also quite small, which led the men to believe they had killed a young Ucumar and they began to fear for revenge attacks from the beast’s parent. The two men beheaded the creature and threw the body down a deep canyon well away from the ranch. The head was sent to veterinary specialists who have confirmed that whatever the animal was it was not native to the area of Argentina where it was killed.

This is absolutely a true story and it greatly puzzles me to this day. I am 57 years old. When I was 14 and lived in Buenos Aires I went with family to the coast. The place is called San Clemente del Tuyu. Very late one night I went walking with three friends on a north direction following the shore line.
About half a kilometer from the small town the beach was hugely wide and there were dunes with thick vegetation. It was then that I saw this humanoid covered in short black hair fastly running towards us. It must have been over 2 metres high and did not look human. It did not look at all like someone in a costume. I asked my friends “.-What’s that????”. They all look and the next thing we run back to the town like crazy. For a moment I though of getting into the cold waters of the Atlantic but what if that thing would get into the water to? I run sooo fast. We never look back. As we got into the town and the lights we asked ourselves what on Earth was that> To this day I wish I knew. I know this story is true!!!!

It’s pretty obvious to me it’s a monkey. May not have been native to that particular area but they are native to the continent. Reminds me of a spider monkey, its head’s either decaying or drying out with fur being lost. Could be a hoax or a pet that got loose, heard people and knowing humans as friendly, came to the camp site and got shot by Argentina’s version of superstitious rednecks. lol

I believe you 100% brother! It was what we in North America call “Sasquatch” and it is indeed a very real being.
I’ve seen them here in Florida and actually know where a group of them lives and it would shock everyone if they knew just how close “they” are to us…geographically speaking.
I would love to come to South America to do research someday!!!!
