Gemma Atkinson attempts world air guitar record

Ex-Hollyoaks beauty Gemma Atkinson was at St John’s Square in Bury on Friday trying to get into the Guinness Book of World Records as part of the largest gathering of air guitar players.

Hundreds of people gathered for the record attempt, but unfortunately didn’t manage to beat the record of 1,844 people playing air guitar in unison.

“I really enjoyed the air guitar. I was a bit nervous at first, but when the crowd got going it was good. There was a great atmosphere. ” Gemma said following the attempt.

“It’s a shame that we didn’t break the record, but maybe we can come back on the first anniversary and try again.”
