Big cat alert in the Scottish Highlands

Police are warning ramblers of the possibility of a hungry predator roaming the Scottish Highlands after witnesses reported seeing a big cat stalking the Inshriach Forest near Kincraig.

The Northern Constabulary have described the beast as a very large black cat, and are urging walkers in the area to be cautious and report any sightings of peculiar wildlife.

“The person who reported the sighting was certain the animal was a cat and was the size of a German shepherd dog. The report is unconfirmed.” A police spokesman said.

The animal was spotted on Tuesday morning at around 11:00am in woods at the northern end of Glen Feshie.
