New ‘Grinderman 2′ trailer and single release date

Nick Cave’s other band, Grinderman have released another John Hillcoat directed trailer for their forthcoming album and details of their first single release from the album.

Heathen Child is the name of the first track to be taken from the album, Grinderman 2 and it will be released on 30th August, the album will be released on 13th September.

The official blurb from the Grinderman website says the track has “a deep seductively heavy groove interjected with dazzling squalls of saw-tooth distortion. It abounds in lyrical imagery at turns lascivious, paranoid, philosophic, absurd and flat-out abusive.”

So that’s nice.
