The legendary chupacabras, or goat sucker is traditionally considered to be a Latin American cryptid which occasionally travels as far north as the southern states of America, but recent reports claim the creature is also native to the Ukraine.
The goat sucker earned it’s name because it is believed to be the mysterious creature which attacks farm livestock and drains the blood from the cattle, like a bizarre animal vampire. Goats are a common victim, but smaller livestock are also found sucked dry, which is the recent case in Ukraine where people are reporting dozens of chickens and rabbits have fallen prey to the chupacabras.
“It ate almost all of my neighbor’s rabbits, and even killed a cat of another neighbor,” one witness said.
Witnesses have described the creature responsible for the animal deaths as a large dog-like beast with red eyes and a powerful odour.
It isn’t the first time so called chupacabras have been spotted in Ukraine, there have been other reports of a creature attacking pigs and it is being held responsible for the deaths of over a hundred rabbits which were completely drained of blood.
