FX will broadcast ‘The Walking Dead’ in the UK

The FX Channel (164 on your Sky remote) has secured the rights to broadcast the new zombie TV show The Walking Dead in the UK.

The Walking Dead will be written and directed by Frank Darabont, famous for his work on The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile, and stars British actor Andrew Lincoln and Prison Break actress Sarah Wayne Callies. The show is based on the graphic novels written by Robert Kirkman and follows a group of survivors lead by Lincoln as they face a zombie apocalypse.

The show will premiere in October where it will headline FX’s autumn line-up.
