A cannabis grower has been killed after the heating equipment for his dope farm cooked him alive.

28 year old Luke Holmes from Halifax, West Yorkshire was discovered dead after friends broke into his home to see if he was alright. Holmes had been dead for three days after he succumbed to hyperthermia, or severe heat stroke.

Police who attended the scene say they were almost overcome by the heat coming from the halogen lamps Holmes was using to heat his illegal crops.
