Series four of Primeval begins production

PrimevalFilming of the fourth season of ITV’s Primeval has begun in Ireland.

The dinosaur drama show is set to return to UK screens in spring 2011 after the show was saved from cancellation by a deal struck between ITV and UKTV. Hannah Spearritt, Andrew Lee Potts, Jason Flemying, Ben Miller and Ben Mansfield are all confirmed to be returning to the show and new cast members Ciarán McMenamin (Demons) and Ruth Kearney have also been added to the line up playing new characters Matt and Jess.

James Bradshaw who appeared in series one of Primeval playing Duncan, one of Connor’s nerdy friends is also set to return to the show.

Impossible Pictures who make the programme have promised the action will pick up right where it left off at the end of series three, with Connor, Abby and Danny trapped in different time periods with no way back home.

Filming is set to continue on location around Dublin and Wicklow until November this year.
