The Black Widow wins catfish eating competition

Sonya “The Black Widow” Thomas triumphed over ten men at yesterday’s World Catfish Eating Championship from Rhythm City Casino in Davenport, Iowa.

Thomas, the number one female competitive eater in the world and fifth overall eater won first place at the catfish eating contest beating ten men and walking away with the $1,000 first prize. Thomas beat off stiff competition from the likes of world #6 Timothy Janus, AKA Eater X, and even set the world record for catfish consumption with her end result of 6.75lbs in ten minutes.

Janus took second place with 6.5 lbs, and another big name in competitive eating, Crazy Legs Conti came in at fourth place with 4lbs of fish in his guts.
