Legend of the Seeker Cancelled?

Tribune Broadcasting, who commission Legend of the Seeker from ABC Studios have supposedly made an announcement that they will not be ordering a third season of the sword and sorcery show.

Following a message posted on Twitter yesterday by a supposed Tribune insider, fans have been emailing the company to show their support for the show. Unfortunately the reply from Tribune corporate relations man Gary Weitman wasn’t very encouraging.

“Thanks for your email and for your support of the show. Unfortunately, not enough viewers felt the same way as you and “Seeker’s” ratings do not merit renewing it. I’m sorry.” Weitman said.

However, all may not be lost. Back on Twitter today Legend of the Seeker‘s executive producer Mike Sussman posted a famous Mark Twain quote, “The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated“. This is hopefully a sign that the adventures of Richard, Kahlan and Zedd won’t be ending just yet.
