Ernestine Jamison from Houston, Texas was disgusted to find the severed head of what she believes is a snake in a packet of frozen vegetables.
Mrs Jamison, a mother of four, was preparing dinner for her family when she spotted the cold blooded critter’s decapitated bonce in amongst the green beans.
“I saw something in there I wasn’t for sure what it was. I thought it was a rock because it was hard,” Jamison told MyFox Houston.
After closer inspection Mrs Jamison concluded it was the head of a snake.
“When I saw it was a snake’s head I just threw it down and called my kids and said I got a snake head in the green beans, everybody said ‘Oh lord, you got a snake head in the green beans’,”
“I saw big eyes, with a mouth open and a tongue coming out, it looked like it was ready to attack,” Mrs Jamison added.
After the family calmed down they took some photographs of the head and sent a letter of complaint to Pictsweet who supplied the veg. Pictsweet have denied all liability, but they did offer the Jamison family $150 in compensation and also dismissed accusations that it was a snakes head saying it was in fact the head of a frog.
“But it’s still gross whether it’s a frog or snake,” said Jamison.
