TV legend Bill Shatner is being lined up to play the title role in a pilot show based on the Twitter ramblings of a 74 year old.
Shit My Dad Says is a phenomenally popular Twitter account run by Justin, who tweets words of wisdom uttered by his aging father. With comments such as “Don’t mess with him…Trust me, you don’t fuck with a man that sleeps next to a woman he never screws. They’re unpredictable.”, it’s no surprise the page has become so popular.
News broke this week that CBS have commissioned Will & Grace creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick to produce a sitcom based on this real life character, and casting the somewhat eccentric Star Trek legend, Shatner was said to be the icing on the cake which guaranteed the pilot would go ahead.
The only downside is that if the pilot is a success the Shit My Dad Says title will have to be changed. Hopefully to Shat My Dad Says.
